In general, it was good to have lunch there, the appetisers were designed n a small dish so that we can try few more dishes. However, when it came the main course, fish and chips and beef burger, my husband really cannot stand for the strong taste of the beef, he cannot even bite it. We feedback the taste of the beef and the waiter is kind to offer us another main, however, we didn’t take it since the beef did ruin my husband appetite. But in overall, good service and the restaurant did provide gifts to child and the table is big enough to let children drawing

The food was really nice especially the Gravlax and Scrambled Omelette of the tasting dishes. I had the venison for an additional cost, but it was worth it. So smooth and tasting piece of venison meat. Ending on a high with the creme brulee, I like how they added hazelnuts on top of it for the extra bite. Definitely would recommend this place. Do be aware that the entrance is on the side of the mansion!

both the restaurant environment and food are good, however it seems a bit short-staffed during lunch hour.

I had lunch with a lady friend at the Flying Elk last Friday, which was a public holiday. This was my first visit.

For starter, both of us ordered House smoked Norwegian salmon, pink peppercorn, lemon smetana, trout roe & crispy cucumber. It was a warm day, and the dish was refreshing and balanced.

For main, I chose Fish & Chips "TFE". The portion was good for ladies. I liked the crispy outer layer, with flaky moist fish fillet inside. The skinny fried were a bit too spicy for me. If only I had a choice of just plain fries, that would be good.

The highlight to me was my dessert: Swedish coffee & Tahiti vanilla crème brûlée with toasted hazelnuts. It was so delicious!

Overall, we enjoyed all the dishes, and service was friendly. There was a balcony with outdoor tables. We sat inside and the brightly lit environment was lovely. Will definitely return.

Food is good, but the location is a bit remote ...
